- Do Cool Sh*t: Quit Your Day Job, Start Your Own Business, and Live Happily Ever After
Thanks to Stefan's podcast, I learned more about Miki Agrawal and bought her book which I really recommend. A good, quick read that makes you want to read it again and share with your friends. - The Invention of Nature, Alexander von Humbolt's New World by Andrea Wulf
"One of the NYT 10 best books of the year"
I had gone to The Huntington Library & Gardens in Los Angeles on New Year's Day 2018 and loved the 18th century illustrations of plants and animals (Mutis, Carbonnell, Triana) from the Royal Botanical Expedition to the New Kingdom of Granada organized by José Celestino Mutis. I went the the gift store to see if I could get a postcard or something about the exhibit. None of that, but was recommended this book instead. It's an amazing journey that takes you all over the world, and links so many historical events together through the unique perspective of mineral and botanical expeditions. I learned all about Humbolt's incredible life and influence he had around the world on shaping our idea of nature and environment. - Edge of Eternity, Ken Follet
Can't get enough of these historical fiction novels. Massive, but can't stop reading and learning from all his books. - Guns, Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond
Next up, recommended by my business partner. Will probably also shake my world!
